I'm a photographer, but not really. I've always been, and always will be, a master of computers. But photography will always be a passion, even if I have no intention of making a career out of it.

My style is my own. There's no one word to describe it, but it has characteristics. I like high contrast: I try to have pure black and pure white in my photos. Black and white does not mean simply grayscaling a color photo: it must be finely toned to produce something greater. Photoshop is for adding borders and fixing distortion, period: I won't do anything that couldn't be done in a darkroom.

I love the night. If I could only shoot one kind of photo for the rest of my days, it would be long-exposure night photography. I love cities. I think both their shine and their decay are beautiful. I love film. As soon as I have enough money that I can operate my own in-house photo lab, I will dump digital forever. Alas, until that day, my Canon EOS 20D will be my faithful tool.

Finally, my account name is "netmanw00t" but that is an old relic of a name that I don't use anymore. NMW, if it must stand for something, should stand for "No Matter What", but I prefer to use the letters bare.
